Subject: APX Alarms
Comment: A saleman came to our door installing "free" home security systems with a 1 year contact and a low monthly payment of $44.95 a month, which quickly went up to $49.95. He told us that if for any reason we were unsatisfied we could cancel for $175.00 cancelation fee. We called to see when our contact was up and found out it was a 5 year contact, not 1 like we were told. And it would cost us $2,600.00 to cancel as we would have to pay for all the remaining months. Also the news has been broadcasting that APX has the easiest alarms to get by. My husband grabbed a magnet, since they are magnetic, we set out alarm put the magnet by the sensor and opened the door then closed it..the alarm never went off. Makes you feel safe doesn't it. Now we are stuck with an alarm that does us no good, it can be passed by with a simple magnet!!

Comment: I have had the worest experience with APX and feel traped for the net 34 months. I signed up in good faith after talking with the representative who also promised me a $50 TGI Friday gift card and never delivered, in addition to that they have constantly debited my account clearly after I have stated in my contract that I want to have my statement mailed. I haved talked to countless customer service reps and a floor manager who states he is charge and he is the only person I can speak too.They have costed me $76 in over draft charges and take there time returning my money at their leisure and it's a new month and we are going thru this all over again.
